I can't believe it's already September, the year is going by so fast. Well in celebration of the new month and almost fall, I gathered around some of the things I have been loving this past Août (August.)
So I hope you like some of these products like I do or find some inspiration along the way.
First I'm going to start off with accessories. Now, by seeing these pics you can guess what has been my favorites.
For the longest time, I disliked wearing big and flashy earrings because I felt that my ears were too big, but I have really been loving how this style looks on my and I'm gonna keep rolling with it. Well, I think you can say I'm a bit obsessed.
I have taken a big step with my makeup this August, I have started to fill in my brows! Okay, not that exciting, but it has been for me. I have seen a big difference with my looks and couldn't be happier.
A few weeks back, my friend and I went into the new NYX store in Plaza Las Americas and thanks to her I won the lottery with this product. It's it's simple and easy to use, just perfect for any beginner.
Ah skin care, such an important thing. After clearing up my acne for good, taking care of my skin has become a priority. I've been using this product for a few years, but I recently re-fell in love it, and I'm using it more than ever.
Not only is this a sunscreen but also a tinted BB cream. It's light, soft, unscented and great for sensitive skin.
Now there isn't that much to say about this product but that it has worked like a charm. I only use this lip balm before going to bed since it leaves my lips hydrated throughout the night.
Now the best for last, my precious gem! These, along with two other bottles, are my handmade skin care routine. Let me explain, after being so tired of having acne and seeing no results with soaps and creams I decided to take a change.
For a while, I have been into natural products like essential oils and multifunctional plants. I happened to find a few videos on youtube where the girls displayed that they cured their acne with oil. So I did my research and, following the Korean skin care routine, I created my own products.
To see what is the Korean skin care routine you can see it displayed step by step here
If you would like to see how and what my products just leave a comment, I'll be happy to share this with all of you.

♫ Oh, say! can you see, my first time seeing the 4th of July in America! ♫
Ah America, since coming here and seeing how Texans behaved (which btw I didn't know people could be so proud of their state) I wondered how people celebrated around here a big date like the fourth of July. Well, I was quite shocked.
For starters, during the day, the biggest supermarket there is New Braunfels sold out of hot dogs, buns, and chips!! What? That much bbq people are cooking? People are hardcore here.
Sorry for the blurry pictures haha
Around evening we visited a park nearby the house, and it was packed. Unfolded Chairs and bankets, kids playing and running around all over the place, and barbecue everywhere you looked. Everybody was gathered around, laughing and spending the night together. It felt nice to be sourounded by a nice and peaceful enviroment.
Thank you for reading this kinda of an open diary!

Before ever planning to make a road trip in the future, decide whether the trip is a literal road trip or just a long drive from point A to point B. We did a long exhausting drive where our only stops were going to the bathroom and taking pictures of the welcome signs in each state. If you are going to be doing this make sure you have good stories and conversations you'll like to tell on the way because it can get quiet, fast. Also, make sure to have an extensive playlist of songs for everybody or a podcast you will all enjoy.
Be prepared... you'll need it. Besides the recommendations I mentioned previously, be sure to bring snacks and food, you will get the munchies or in case anything happens. Wear comfortable clothing because you will be sitting in a tight spot, tighter than a plane, for quite some time. Luckily we didn't have that problem, although wearing something more loose and comfy would have eased the trip.
Not everything will go as plan. Before any trip, we do an itinerary of everything we want to go see and do with the time and date to do each thing, but you can never be certain to fulfill everything exactly how you want it. From 7 hours we predicted it would take us from Florida to Louisiana, it actually took us 11 hours, not much eh? haha
At least try it once in your life. The experience is wonderful, the places that you see and that feeling that you get when crossing one state to the other is so amazing. You can really see the difference from each state (or country.) Also, you will get to know who you are and who you are with. That is for creating a stonger bond or not traveling with them again.

New month, new ideas.
Hi there! This month I've decided to do something a little bit different here on the blog. I'm going to start a new segment called Unwinding Perspective where I'll post pictures taken randomly, mostly on the weekends. It's my way to relax and show the world through my eyes.
Hope you enjoy!

And so a wonderful chapter closes another one opens. So long teenage years filled with doubt, challenges and experiences. You will be missed, but also, this means the beginning of a new era for me.
After freaking out about my "coming of age" and accepting my now "adult life", I looked back some things that helped shaped me into the person that I am today. Some good lessons, some hard ones but all worth it. Here is a list of things I learned before turning 20, and I thought I'm the only one who can relate:
Stop and prevent overthinking everything
We've all done it at some point of our lives, but if you are like me, you may find it way harder to drop this bad habit. Although I haven't found the perfect way to completely eliminate it from my life, a few suggestions are to learn bit by bit how to control it, letting the mind wonder about anything else and/or meditate. With just the willingness to trying to improve makes a lot of difference.
Even if I see others around me going far and progressing at such a young age, doesn't mean I'm not moving forward
One of the things that put me down on more resent years was seeing people my age reaching certain goals, getting their life together or participating on amazing opportunities.v There are two lessons to be learned here, 1) Never compare yourself to others and 2) Everybody reaches their destination in different ways and different times. With that being said, there is no need to be stressing about things that are coming eventually into your life, if you work hard for it of course.
Accepting myself and loving me for all my flaws
Oh so very important. We all know its hard to accept oneself after being bullied in school, seeing what the beauty standards are and how they are portrayed through all social media. To this I say f*ck it, really. Whats important is not how you you look like, is how you are inside. Your good trades, values and personality are what shape you into who you are, and I'm sure there is no other you out there, so let yourself shine.
To not waste time with people who don't deserve it
What more can I say? If you don't like where you are and with who you are with, leave, you are not attached to them and you would be making better use with your time and energy.
Just go with the flow
Did I mention to not stress and overthink about things to much? Well here's a friendly reminder. Sometimes we just need to relax, unwind and let things happen. Not worry too much about them and let time figure some stuff out. Other times there are situations we cant control and we just have to wait and see, so sit back and follow along.
Everything happens for a reason
There have been things that haven't gone my way in the past, and later on I found out that there was something better coming ahead. I've become a true believer of the phrase: Things happen for a reason"", and if you are a believer in God or in destiny, you will know what I'm talking about.
More adventures and wonderful things ahead
And with all said and done, there is just no other thing to do than look ahead of what's coming. We may only look back at the past to see memories but not to live in it. As said, a new chapter in my life begins and even though the leap from 19 to 20 isn't a big deal, one can always reflect upon a year that has come to pass.

Happy 2017 everyone!! May this year bring a lot of blessings and happy memories, especially trips and adventures!
To kick start this year my surf class decided to go on a trip to Aguadilla and Rincon (paradise on earth for surfers here on the island.) And being my first time stepping on this beaches I felt speechless and like a little kid at Disney. Clear waters, turtles and fishies close to us and friendly people everywhere. Yup, this is winter in Puerto Rico.
We stayed at Cabo Rojo (far from Rincon and Aguadilla, but closer than our hometown) for three days, so our mornings consisted on waking up early, eat real quick, and head down to the beach. It didn't bother us, we were all excited and pumped to surf in new spots. I remember the mornings being chilly and the water being cold (but hey it's winter and for an outsider this might be a typical temperature.) Overall it was an amazing experience and I would love to do it again.
Here are some shots I took during our little adventure.
Surfers Beach, Aguadilla
There were actually more than twenty people in the line up (waiting for the waves.)
Best friend and surfer buddy Taysha (insta @tashy_26)
Domes Beach, Rincon
And lets not forget the crew
Grateful for spending this few days with this guys, we had a lot of fun.
